TELLING THEM APART

What is the difference between tiangou and beitai?

Both describe the losing side of a one sided crush, but the agency is opposite. A tiangou, licking dog, actively fawns on someone who gives nothing back, debasing themselves by choice. A beitai, spare tire, is passively kept on the bench as someone's backup option, strung along just in case.
